编者按：2024年美国大选，无疑是影响全球变局的最重大事件之一。把脉美国大选与中美未来应成为当下中国区域国别研究的重中之重。为此，中国人民大学重阳金融研究院（人大重阳）正式开设“区域国别论坛”，就每年全球各个区域与国别的热点话题开展系列探讨。2024年7月起，由人大重阳运营管理的中国人民大学中美人文交流研究中心（教育部）率先推出“美国大选2024与中美未来”系列讲座，邀请12位中美两国的知名专家公开线下讲述。首场讲座邀请美国著名学者、欧亚集团主席克里夫·库普坎（Cliff Kupchan）进行主题演讲，分享当前世界局势、全球经济与中美关系的理解与分析。这是继2023年6月25日库普坎主席在新冠疫情后首位在人大重阳公开演讲的美国学者后的再次交流，现将讲座议程发布如下：

库普坎是国际关系、宏观经济领域的权威专家。长期为美国政府提供有关政治风险的前沿见解，曾在美国国会众议院国际关系委员会担任全球对外援助、北非和欧亚地区的首席外交政策顾问一职。库普坎精通俄语，在布朗大学获得学士学位，在斯坦福大学获得政治学硕士学位。库普坎经常在国际知名媒体平台发表关于美国外交、贸易政策及时政热点的文章及采访，也是欧亚集团年度《顶级风险报告》(Top Risks)的合著者。

'Geopolitical trends and US-China relations'

The China-US relationship is one of the most important bilateral relationships in the world today. Against the backdrop of intensifying geopolitical conflicts and increasingly severe global challenges, it serves the common interests of China and the United States to promote bilateral cooperation in various fields, including economy, trade and people-to-peolpe exchanges, and is conducive to the well-being of people around the world. To this end, sponsored by Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University of China, the China-US People-to-People Exchange Research Center, Renmin University of China, organizes the “China-US People-to-People Exchange Forum (2024 Summer)” on July 3, 2024, inviting Mr. Cliff Kupchan, a renowned American scholar and chairman of Eurasia Group to deliver a keynote speech from the perspectives of current geopolitics, global economy and China-US relations. This is the second lecture since Mr. Kupchan’s first public speech at RDCY on June 25, 2023 after the COVID-19 pandemic as the first American scholar to speak publicly in China. Cliff Kupchan is a leading expert on international relations and global macro. He regularly provides the US government with cutting-edge insights on political risks. He previously worked for the House International Relations Committee of the US Congress, where he served as the top foreign policy adviser on global foreign assistance, North Africa, and Eurasia. He is fluent in Russian, received a master's degree from Stanford University and a bachelor's degree from Brown University. He often publishes articles and accepts interviews on US foreign and trade policies, and current political hotspots on well-known international media platforms, and is also the co-author of Eurasia Group's annual Top Risks publication.
