编者按：美国的人口变化正在快速发生。随着移民的增加、一些少数族裔的高生育率以及老龄化白人人口的减少，美国人口结构的变化也正在推进美国政治生态的变化与转型，这一现象成为众多学者研究的焦点。8月底，美国著名学者、美国乔治梅森大学政策与政府学院院长马克·罗泽尔（Mark J. Rozell）受邀出席中国人民大学主办的 “‘中国式现代化与世界未来’明德战略对话（2024）——国际战略学术界走进中国” 活动。届时，中国人民大学重阳金融研究院（人大重阳） “区域国别论坛” ，将邀请马克·罗泽尔围绕“人口变化与美国政治转型”主题进行演讲。现将讲座安排如下。文末附报名通道可报名线下参会。

嘉宾简介

马克·罗泽尔是乔治梅森大学政策与政府学院院长，长期研究美国政治，尤其在总统制、联邦制、种族和宗教等领域研究有突出成就，2020年以来致力于研究美国的宪政以及总统权力的问题和争议。他是 13 本书的作者，主要涉及美国政府和政治，包括总统、宗教与政治、媒体与政治、南方政治以及选举中的利益集团。他曾就行政特权问题在美国国会作证，并在全球进行过广泛的演讲。近年来，他曾在奥地利、比利时、中国、丹麦、英国、芬兰、法国、德国、印度、意大利、日本、约旦、波兰、苏格兰、韩国、西班牙、瑞典、土耳其和越南授课。他也是《华盛顿邮报》的特约撰稿人。他于1982年获罗彻斯特理工学院学士学位，1987年获弗吉尼亚大学博士学位。

Population change is happening rapidly in the US. With rising immigration, high fertility rates of some minority groups, and the decline of America’s aging white population, demographics change is ushering in shifting trends in the political dynamics of the US, which need to be closely studied. To this end, sponsored by Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University of China, the China-US People-to-People Exchange Research Center, Renmin University of China, organizes a series of Area Studies lectures, inviting Mark J. Rozell, Dean of the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University, to deliver a keynote speech to share his perspectives on the changing demographic profile of the US and its impact on US politics. Mark J. Rozell is the founding dean of the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University. He holds the Ruth D. and John T. Hazel Chair in Public Policy. He is the author or coauthor of 13 books and editor of 20 additional books on various topics in U.S. government and politics, including the Presidency, religion and politics, media and politics, southern politics, and interest groups in elections. He has testified before Congress on executive privilege issues and has lectured extensively in the U.S. and abroad. In recent years, he has lectured in Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Poland, Scotland, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, and Vietnam. Rozell is a contributing writer for the Washington Post. His column on Virginia politics appears in Local Opinions. Since 1994, he has served as a judge for the Gerald R. Ford Award Committee for Outstanding Reporting on the Presidency for the Gerald R. Ford Foundation.
