Liu Zhiqin says this year's CPC Plenary session will be a special event, in the sense that:

1. China is facing internal and external uncertainties and challenges, and how to form people united and move forward is what concerns this plenary session

2. Principals and ideological issues will be discussed to support the modernisation of China

Liu Zhiqin also stressed two ideas:

1. The suitability of the socialist market system is tested and is destined to move China forward

2. Following the CPC as the leader, adherence to the socialist system, and having the mind to serve people are the core to realise modernisation in China
