Hello, I'm Wang Wen, executive director of Chongyang Institute, Renmin University of China. Thank you very much for inviting me to speak in such an important forum.

As Belt& Road Initiative scholar, I hope to share with you: COVID-19 has not affected the BRI. On the contrary, BRI is growing against the trend, and the process of Eurasian integration is accelerating.

One month ago, Chongyang Institute released one evaluation report on BRI in the Pandemic, and found that all the data along BRI are growing. BRI China and Europe train have exceeded 40 thousand. The direct investment of 58 countries along the BRI has increased by 18%. China With BRI countries, the total volume of imports and exports increased by 1%. In particular, China's cross-border e-commerce imports and exports grew by 31%.

There are still many data in this report, which prove that interconnection is the future trend. Even if there is the most serious virus crisis in the past century, it can not stop globalization and people's communication. Under such a trend, the process of Eurasian integration is speeding up.

As we all know, Asia is fragmented because of the offshore balancing strategy of the United States. The relationship between many Asian countries and their neighbors is worse than that between this country and the United States. Asia needs to rise up, and so does the Eurasian continent.

A week ago, China just celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Communist Party of China. One hundred years ago, China was the poorest country in the world. Now, China has become the world's second largest economy, the world's largest trading country in goods, the world's largest manufacturing country, and the world's largest consumer market. An extraordinary experience is to promote domestic connectivity under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.

BRI has an important goal to promote interconnection between the Asian and European continents and help every country to develop and achieve common prosperity. I believe that BRI has a better future, and China will have a better future too. thank you!
