Liu Zhiqin stressed that, in the past ten years, the most significant step and progress forward for China is the rural reform, in that:

1. Rural modernisation is advanced because of policy support from the government, including the upgrading of the farming equipment.

2. Poverty reduction is significant which is down to zero.

3. Education in the rural area has caught up.

He also stated that some reforms can help rural residents increase their income:

1. The policy support from the government

2. Diversified financial support like the investment

3. Cooperation between regions to enhance development
