The first China-Afghanistan-Pakistan Foreign Ministers` Dialogue was held in Beijing on Tuesday.

CGTN Digital interviewed Zhou Rong, a senior analyst from the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University of China, on what effect the dialogue will have on regional peace.

Zhou said that what impressed him most was that Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi urged the Afghan government to hold talks with the Taliban.

“Counterterrorism will satisfy all three parties’ interests,” Zhou insisted.
