China is already preparing for next year`s G20 Summit as it officially took over the G20 presidency. The theme of the 2016 G20 summit is "building an innovative, invigorated, interconnected and inclusive world economy".
Calling for deeper cooperation between countries in the face of a challenging global economy.
This is the message China tries to send to the rest of the world, as it takes over the chair of next year`s G20 summit.
"The biggest problem we face as we enter the post-crisis period, is the lack of vigour of the world economy. There`s no growth point. Globally unemployment has kept rising, debt crisis has emerged. As a result protectionism arose, and everyone only cares about their own businesses. Under such circumstances, cooperation is very important. That`s why the Chinese President Xi Jinping has proposed for G20 to become a platform aimed at long-term global governance," said Chen Gengying, director of Institution of World Economy, CICIR.
China also called on G20 member nations to make substantial progress in promoting international economic cooperation, and to help solve pressing problems facing the world economy
"The post-crisis restructuring must need innovation to boost invigoration. Inter-connection means only openness and cooperation can boost global economic growth. And inclusiveness means we have to be accommodative to among countries. It goes in line with our 13th five year plan," Chen said.
The 2016 G20 summit will be held in east China`s Hangzhou next September. Experts say China`s host of the summit shows a high-degree of trust of the international community to China, as well as China`s willingness to contribute more to the world.
