The labor meeting of the G20, called the L20, kicks off in Beijing on Monday. Four meetings will be held ahead of the G20 summit this year under China`s presidency. Employment officials are expected to address innovation, decent work, enhanced employability and adequate job opportunities.

Proposals will be drafted for G20 leaders to discuss this September in China`s eastern coastal city of Hangzhou.  Stressed at last year`s summit in Turkey, G20 countries now aim to increase women`s participation in the workforce by 25 percent by 2025 and reduce the number of young people excluded from jobs by 15 percent by 2025.
