The G20 gathering wrapped up in Istanbul on Tuesday. China`s commerce minister urged the 20 member group to play a bigger role in rejuvenating the global economy.

China`s Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng stressed that China is ready to contribute to global trade growth.

That was during a press conference to wrap up the G20 meeting in Istanbul.

In 2016, during China`s G20 presidency, trade growth and investment will be on top of the agenda and China is ready for cooperation to develop a comprehensive, international trade system.

The trade deal reached on Monday between 12 Pacific Rim nations is known as the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Ministers from China and Turkey spoke about cooperation through regional integrations and creation of institutional structures as a way to boost global trade.

Gao noted that when they meet in the Philippines in November, APEC members will have a full discussion about the roadmap on a free trade area of the Asia-Pacific, a process initiated in Beijing last year.

"We look forward to working with other countries, to build an inclusive global trade system. We hope to set up cooperations on industrial capacity exports, trade finance and trade aid, to pursue a sustainable global trade growth," Gao said.

G20 trade ministers on Tuesday agreed to pursue deeper and wider trade reforms to ensure trade growth, as it grew less than the global economy for the first time in the last four decades.
