From 13th to 17th March, 2024, Amb.Wu Hongbo, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on European Affairs, headed CPIFA delegation to attend the XI Global Baku Forum in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The theme of the forum is “Fixing the Fractured World”. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony and gave a keynote speech. Amb.Wu Hongbo delivered a remark in the panel on topic “Fixing the Fractured World”. Mr.Wang Wen, member of delegation and Executive Dean of Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University of China, delivered a remark in the panel on topic “Role of Regional Military and Economic Alliances”. About 400 guests including more than 40 acting and former heads of states and governments from 68 countries attended the forum.

During the stay in Baku, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Wu Hongbo individually. Two sides have friendly exchanges on bilateral relations. Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mrs.Guo Min attended the forum and meeting.
