In the face of changes on a scale unseen in a century, Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies of Renmin University of China has launched “RDCY Forum for Area Studies, Ambassador Series”, inviting ambassadors to China from different countries to deliver speeches on bilateral relations and cooperation, as well as regional and global key issues. The Forum aims to enhance China’s capabilities of understanding the world, boost mutual understanding between China and other countries as well as mutual learning among civilizations and contribute collective wisdom to solve global development and security challenges.

At the inaugural forum, we are privileged to invite Ambassador of Morocco to China Abdelkader El Ansari to interpret the Morocco-China Partnership. Morocco is the first country in North Africa to sign Implementation Plan of Jointly Building the Belt and Road Initiative with China.

Speaker's CV

H.E. Ambassador Abdelkader El Ansari took office in February this year. Prior to his appointment as Ambassador to China, he served as Ambassador Director of Asian Affairs and Oceania, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, and had numerous interactions with China and made visits to Beijing. Morocco-China diplomatic ties have been established in 1958 and elevated to strategic partnership in 2016. In 2022, Morocco became the first country in North Africa to sign Implementation Plan of Jointly Building the Belt and Road Initiative with China.
