Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University of China (RDCY) has received massive feedback from embassies, enterprises, academics etc., since the first RDCY Forum for Area Studies, Ambassador Series was successfully launched in mid-November. RDCY will continue the positive momentum to deepen area studies, promote the understanding between China and other countries and strengthen mutual learning among civilizations.

2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil. Chinese President Xi Jinping has recently wrapped up his state visit to Brazil after attending the 19th G20 Leaders' Summit in Rio de Janeiro. Speaker's CV

Marcos Galvão has been Brazil's Ambassador to China since August 2022. Born in 1959, the Ambassador graduated from the Brazilian Diplomatic Academy Rio Branco in 1980 and obtained a Master's Degree in International Relations from the American University in Washington, D.C. Upon his graduation, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he held several positions, including Advisor to the Secretary General (1982-1984) and Deputy Chief of Staff and Spokesperson for the Minister (1998-2001). Between May 2016 and December 2018, he served as Secretary General for Foreign Affairs. In addition, he has served within the ministry in many countries including the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan.
