According to the Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Beijing, on March 12, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh attended and participated in a thematic discussion at the academic seminar entitled "The Ambassador's Story," jointly organized by the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies and the Global Leadership Academy (both affiliated with Renmin University of China) in Beijing.

Attending the event from Renmin University of China were Zhang Da Miao, Head of the International Cooperation Department; Wang Wen, President of the Chongyang Institute of Financial Studies and President of the Global Leadership Academy; and over 400 students currently studying at the university. Among the guests were Professor Pan Jin Nga from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences ; and Professor Cheng Han Ping, Acting President of the National and Regional Research Institute, Zhejiang University of Technology.

The program also attracted a large number of experts, scholars, representatives of business associations, and media agencies, who participated in person, in combination with online participation from three locations at universities in Zhejiang.

Speaking at an event themed "Strengthening Vietnam-China Friendship," Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh reviewed the development of relations between the two countries, emphasizing the outstanding achievements in bilateral cooperation in recent years, especially since the State visit of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping to Vietnam, in all fields in the spirit of "six mores," including higher political trust; more substantive defense and security cooperation; deeper substantive cooperation; a more solid social foundation; closer multilateral coordination; and better control and resolution of disagreements.

On this occasion, Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh informed Chinese scholars and students about the outstanding results of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam , emphasizing Vietnam's development orientations and goals in the new era, including focusing on ensuring national defense and security; consistently implementing an independent, self-reliant, self-strengthening, peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developmental foreign policy; multilateralizing and diversifying foreign relations; promoting rapid and sustainable socio-economic development; strongly developing science and technology and innovation; and simultaneously promoting Vietnamese cultural values and people.

The Ambassador also shared information about Vietnam's socio-economic development in recent years, highlighting positive results in growth, international integration, and improvements in the investment environment, thereby demonstrating the vast potential for cooperation between the two countries in the coming period.

During the discussion, Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh, along with Chinese experts, scholars, and students, engaged in lively exchanges, offering many positive opinions and assessments on the prospects for Vietnam-China cooperation in various fields. They expressed their hope that the two countries would continue to strengthen coordination and expand substantive cooperation in line with each country's interests, meeting the aspirations of the people of both countries and making a positive contribution to peace and stability in the region.

Chinese experts and scholars highly appreciate the prospects of Vietnam-China relations, believing that the two countries have great potential and room for expanding cooperation, in the context of many changes in the region and the world.

Vietnam and China share many positive similarities, such as stable societies, progressive thinking, and safe environments. They possess unique complementary qualities in socio-economic development and serve as successful development models within the socialist system.

According to experts and scholars, these are important factors contributing to the continued stable development of bilateral relations and achieving many positive results in the future.

Earlier, Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh met with the President of Renmin University of China, Ma Huaide.

Both sides highly appreciated the role of higher education and research institutions in strengthening understanding and friendship between the people of the two countries, and agreed to promote the expansion of research cooperation, training, and academic exchange between scholars and students of People's University and other educational institutions in Vietnam in the next phase.
