Muhammad Asif Noor is a senior academic practitioner and public diplomacy scholar with more than two decades of experience across international relations, strategic studies, academic diplomacy, and regional connectivity. His work integrates theory, policy analysis, and institutional practice, with a sustained focus on Pakistan–China relations, China, the Belt and Road Initiative, CPEC, South Asia, Central Asia, and Eurasia, public diplomacy, South–South cooperation, media and narrative power, and think tank diplomacy. He is also Founder of Friends of BRI Forum.
In parallel with his academic and institutional roles, he is a regular author and commentator for leading Chinese and international media outlets, including China Daily, CGTN, People’s Daily, Guangming Daily, China Economic Daily, and China Economic Net, along with various other prominent international media platforms. Through these outlets, he contributes analysis on China’s foreign policy, regional diplomacy, development cooperation, and Global South perspectives. He has founded and led multiple academic, research, and policy platforms that connect universities, diplomatic missions, scholars, and policy communities across South Asia, Central Asia, and China. His sustained engagement across academia, media, and policy practice positions him as an outstanding practitioner with deep regional insight, extensive international networks, and applied expertise across the core geographies and thematic areas of his work.
