Maria Francesca Staiano is Director of the Center on China Studies of the International Relations Institute of National University of La Plata (IRI-UNLP), in Argentina; Director of the Latin American Research Academy on a Community with a Shared Future and Belt and Road Initiative (LARA-CSF-BRI) of UNLP and Communication University of China; Co-coordinator of the CLACSO (Latin American Council of Social Sciences) Working Group on “China and the World Power Map”; Member of the World Association on Chinese Studies (WACS-CASS); Member of the Argentinian Sinologists Council; Member of the Fudan University and Latin American Universities Consortium (FLAUC). International Law Lawyer, she received her Ph.D. and Master from University of Rome “Sapienza” in “International Order and Human Rights”, spending 4 years in Beijing, at Beijing Language and Culture University and Peking University-School of Law for her research. She is Associate Professor at IRI-UNLP, member of the Academic Council of the Master Program on “Chinese Studies” at IRI-UNLP, and Lecturer in several European, Latin American and Chinese Universities. Her areas of study are China-Latin America, China-Europe International Relations, Chinese Legal System, Chinese International Relations Theories.
