Muhammad Zamir Assadi is a seasoned expert on Chinese affairs with deep specialization in China’s economy, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the Global Development Initiative (GDI) and the Global Civilization Initiative and Pakistan-China relations. He has attended a media fellowship of the China Public Diplomacy Association in Beijing and an alumnus of the School of Journalism and Communication at Renmin University of China. He has extensively authored in-depth analyses on global affairs for leading international media outlets and currently serves as a policy advisor on China affairs with multiple research institutes in Pakistan. At present, he is participating in the Future Leadership Program on the Belt and Road Initiative with the School of Public Policy and Management at Tsinghua University. His analytical work on the Belt and Road Initiative has earned him several prestigious international awards. He is also working as Director for the research center (BASTION) in Islamabad, Pakistan.
