Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in South Sudan Huo Ying Attends Chinese Scholars Exchange with South Sudan’s Ruling Party on Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy and the Communist Party of China’s Experience in Governance

On August 25, Wang Wen, Dean of the Chongyang, Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University of China, and Xue Li, Deputy Director of the English and International Studies Unit of China Foreign Affairs University, visited South Sudan. They exchanged with over 200 members of the ruling Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), sharing insights on Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy and the Governance Experience of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Mrs. Huo Ying, Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy, emphasized that this year marked 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. She stated that CPC would like to strengthen people-to-people and idea exchanges with SPLM.
Prof. Paul Logale Jumi, SPLMSecretary-General, and Hon. Lt. Gen. Rabi Mujung Emmanuel, SPLM State Chairperson and Governor of Central Equatoria State, on behalf of South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit, also the Chairman of SPLM, warmly welcomed the two scholars. They highlighted that the two scholars’interpretation on Xi Jinping’s key thoughts and concepts deeply inspired SPLM members a lot, and promised that SPLM will digest these ideas as crucial references for strengthening party building.
The event featured a lively and interactiveatmosphere. The exchange between the SPLM members and the two scholars lasted for more than three hours. After the eventended, SPLM members hadn't had enough of exchanges and were reluctant to leave.
