Clare Pearson, former chair of the British Chamber of Commerce in China, and Djoomart Otorbaev, former prime minister of Kyrgyzstan, stepped inside the global headquarters of DJI Innovations in Shenzhen - home to the world's leading drone maker.
What they found was something closer to the future than an office.
With just a few keystrokes, they remotely piloted a drone more than 2,000 kilometers away – handling takeoff, hovering and real-time data collection as easy as playing a video game.
In this city, technology isn't abstract or out of reach. It's practical, immediate and increasingly, in everyone's hands.
