On September 23th, the 2020 China Classics International Publishing Project was publicly announced that 107 titles of books from 70 publishers were officially identified as this year's funded projects. Two books from Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, Renmin University of China（RDCY) were selected,“Wealthy and Strong Country”, published by Renmin University of China Press, and“Profound Changes Unseen in Centuries”, published by Beijing Normal University Press.

China Classics International Publishing Project is one of the key project of national cultural construction under the National Press and Publication Administration. It aims to encourage and support the publication of outstanding export-oriented books that meet the needs of the foreign market, and effectively promote the "going global" of Chinese books. The finalists of the two books from RDCY are in English.

The book“Profound Changes Unseen in Centuries”is the research achievement of RDCY, which is jointly completed by Wang Wen, executive dean of RDCY, Jia Jinjing, assistant dean of RDCY, Liu Yushu, researcher of RDCY and Wang Peng, associate researcher of RDCY. It reviews the tremendous changes in China over the past hundred years from three perspectives: political, economic and digital development. And it also discusses the realities and future development paths of China and the world on the basis of the "Hundred Years of Change" background, which leads to the the question of what  China should do now and where it should go in the future, and pointing out the direction for the future development of countries, enterprises and individuals. This book received widespread interest when it published. It has been ranked first in the new book list and best-selling list on JD.com and other shopping websites for many days. The ideas in the book have triggered thinking and discussion in the academic circle.

Edited by RDCY, the book of “Wealthy and Strong Country”is based on the wonderful speeches of 16 scholars from Renmin University of China and other colleges domestic and foreign universities and research institutions. With a pragmatic spirit of exploration and a deep sense of historical responsibility, they reviewed the path of China and great achievements has made over the past four decades of reform and opening-up, and had a in-depth analysis of the challenges we face and strategies to deal with them, covering the financial reform, trade war, technology war, peripheral security, environmental governance, government-enterprise relationship, and political and economic reform, tax reform, and many other fields, which are the vivid interpretation of China's path, China's problem and China's development.
