On January 8, 2022, the 26th (2022) China Capital Market Forum was successfully held. The forum was co-organized by the China Capital Market Research Institute of Renmin University of China(CCMRI) and Guorong Securities Co., Ltd, with special support from the School of Finance at Renmin University of China, Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, Renmin University of China(RDCY), and the Editorial Board of the Review of Applied Economics. The theme of the forum was "China's Capital Market: New Ideas, NewEco System, New Pattern". The leaders, experts and scholars from central state organs, universities and research institutions, as well as guests from securities companies, fund companies, listed companies and media reporters gathered to discuss the past and future of the capital market and the new model of the financial system. CCTV Finance, China Securities Journal, Beijing Business News, Securities Times, Ta Kung Pao and other media reported this conference.

During the opening ceremony, President Liu Wei of Renmin University of China delivered an opening speech, Chairman Hou Shoufa of Guorong Securities delivered a welcome speech, and Professor Wu Xiaoqiu, President of CCMRI, released a keynote report. Dean Zhuang Yumin of the School of Finance, Renmin University of China, presided over the opening ceremony and the keynote presentation session.

Later, Ning Jizhe, Deputy Director of the National Development and Reform Commission and Director of the National Bureau of Statistics; Jiao Jinhong, Chief Counsel of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, and Xu Ming, Chairman of the Beijing Stock Exchange delivered the keynote speeches. This session was moderated by Wang Wen, Executive Dean of RDCY.

Senior professors and young scholars discussed the theme of "China's Capital Market: New Ideas, New Eco System, New Pattern". Wu Xiaoqiu, President of CCMRI, and Zhu Dan of the Institute of National Academy of Development and Strategy of Renmin University of China co-chaired the session.

The senior professors attending the session included Wang Guogang, Professor of School of Finance of Renmin University of China and Member of the Academy of Social Sciences; Liu Jipeng, Director of Capital Finance Research Institute of China University of Political Science and Law; Lin Yisheng, Chairman of Tianxiang Investment Consulting Co., Ltd; Hu Yuyue, Director of Securities and Futures Research Institute of Beijing Technology and Business University; and He Qiang, Director of Securities and Futures Research Institute of Central University of Finance and Economics.

Chang Qing, professor of School of Economics and Management of China Agricultural University, Ye Lin, chief expert of interdisciplinary intersection platform of business environment of Renmin University of China, and Yao Zhenshan, host of CCTV financial program, made comments. Finally, Zhao Xijun, Co-Director of CCMRI, made the concluding remarks of the forum.

It is reported that the report released in this forum has been compiled and published in a book titled "China's Capital Market: The Third Model", which is compiled by Professor Wu Xiaoqiu's team and systematically discusses the third model of China's capital market that is being formed in China, which is different from the traditional market and bank-driven financial system.
