From November 20th to 21st, 2017, the 3rd China-Russia Economy Dialogue, hosted by the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University of China (RDCY), was successfully held in Beijing. Senior experts and scholars from China and Russia, including Sergey Glaziev, the Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation Putin, Yu Hongjun, Former Vice Minister of the International Department, Central Committee of CPC, and Ou Xiaoli, Inspector of the Department of Western Region Development at National Development and Reform Commission, attended the dialogue and held a two-day closed-door seminars.
This dialogue was jointly launched by RDCY and the team of economic advisers to the President of the Russian Federation. Earlier, both sides had successfully held two rounds of "China-Russia Economic Think Tank Dialogue" in Beijing and Moscow in January and March 2017 respectively.
During the closed-door meeting, Yao Peisheng, former China`s Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine, Zhou Qiangwu, Director of International Economics and Finance Institute (IEFI) under the Ministry of Finance (MOF), Zhang Jianping, Director of the Research Center for Regional Economic Cooperation under the Ministry of Commerce, Sun Zhuangzhi, Secretary General of Shanghai Cooperation Organization Research Institute at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Huang Renwei, former Vice Dean of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Liu Zhiqin and Zhou Rong, Senior Fellows of RDCY, John Ross, Senior fellow at RDCY, Yang Qingqing, director of Research Cooperation Department at RDCY, and Cheng Cheng, an associate researcher at RDCY, and many other experts from China and Russian economic advisors from the team conducted fruitful discussions on "Will the New International Financial System Come Into Being in the Future 10 Years ?", "China`s Diplomacy and International Economic and Trade Cooperation", " China-Russian Economic Cooperation Opportunities after the 19th National Congress of CPC", and "the `Belt and Road` and the Future of Eurasian Economic Union".
Additionally, this round of China-Russia economic dialogue specially schemed "the Third China-Russia Economy Dialogue: Media Briefing" and invited the Chinese and Russian representatives to conduct face-to-face communications with Chinese and foreign media.
