On January 23, hosted by Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University of China (RDCY) and China-US People to People Exchange Research Center, a seminar on “40 Years of China-US People to People Exchange: History, Experience and Challenges” and report release ceremony was held in Beijing.

More than 200 people attended the meeting including Experts and scholars from the Renmin University of China, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Beijing Normal University, China Institute of Contemporary International Relations, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), China Center for Contemporary World Studies of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, and officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and Ministry of Education of China, as well as the officials from the US Embassy in China, and representative from media.

The China-US People to People Exchange Research Center of Renmin University of China was established in August 2017. It is one of the two China-US people to people exchange research centers established by the Ministry of Education in China. It is operated and managed by the RDCY. Since the establishment of the center, The RDCY has been investigating the United States for more than 20 times and hosted several high-level bilateral think tank dialogues on the “Belt and Road”, the South China Sea issue, the Sino-US trade dispute, and forums of China-US Universities Presidents China-US think tanks, attracting extensive attention from the international community.
