On April 25 and 26, invited by Chinese Embassy in Austria and city of Salzburg, Professor Wang Wen, the Executive Dean of Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University of China (RDCY), delivered two keynote lectures on the themes of “China’s Challenges and Opportunities”and “Global Transformation and China-Proposed Belt and Road Initiative”.
Wang Wen delivered a speech at the “Embassy Forum”.
Nearly 200 people listened to the lectures, including officials from Austrian government, members of the National Assembly, and representatives from entrepreneurs, media and think tanks. Li Xiaosi, Chinese ambassador to Austria attended the two events and made remarks.
During his speech, Li Xiaosi expected to create more opportunities to promote mutual understanding between China and Austria. By initiating “Embassy Forum”, Chinese embassy in Austria is seeking to invite more experts and scholars to introduce Chinese development on politics, economy, society and culture, so as to boost the Sino-Austrian friendship and cooperation.
At the first lecture of the “Embassy Forum” hosted by Chinese Embassy to Austria on 25th , Professor Wang’s speeches deeply impressed the audience. He gave an analysis on Chinese development status, challenges and opportunities, as well as the policy outlook of China with abundant and objective data. After the lecture, Professor Wang answered questions about the development of China, "Belt and Road" , Sino-Austrian relations and so on.
On April 26th, at the lecture in Salzburg, Professor Wang emphasized the important opportunity for the Austria and other countries brought by the “Belt and Road” construction. The participants lauded the speeches and said that it was the first time for them to understand the “Belt and Road” systematically.
