Ambassador of Slovenia to China met with RDCY

On the morning of April 14th 2021 , Alenka Suhadolnik, Ambassador of Slovenia to China, had a cordial meeting with Prof. Wang Wen, Executive Dean of Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University of China (RDCY), at the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in China. The two sides had an in-depth discussion on China-Europe relations, people-to-people exchanges and educational cooperation.



Dean Wang Wen introduced to Ambassador Alenka Suhadolnik the achievement of RDCY in international exchange and Silk Road School at Renmin University of China. He mentioned that Slovenia is located in the core region of China and Europe and has an important strategic geographical position, playing a pivotal role in global economic and cultural exchanges. He hoped that both sides would strengthen their ties in the future and jointly promote friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.


Ambassador Alenka Suhadolnik expressed her warm welcome to the visit of RDCY. She believed that Silk Road School provided a good opportunity for Slovenian students to study in China, and expressed that she would actively promote bilateral cultural and educational exchanges and cooperation. In the second half of this year, Slovenia will hold the rotating presidency of the European Union, and next year coincides with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Slovenia, which has always maintained friendly relations, and Slovenia is willing to actively promote the friendly relations between the EU and China.


The two sides reached a preliminary consensus on cooperation in the fields of green development and international relations, and exchanged books. The talks ended in a friendly and cordial atmosphere. Lucija Lindav Heindel, First Secretary of Education and Culture of the Embassy of Slovenia in China; Liu Jianping, Deputy Director of Academic Cooperation Department and Liu Di, Operations Specialist of RDCY joined the talks.
