From November 30 to December 3, leaders of nearly 300 political parties and organizations from over 120 countries gathered in Beijing to attend the "CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-level Meeting". Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the President of China, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech.

As the supporting event of the high-level meeting, the Wanshou Forum on "The Global Significance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era" was successfully held in Beijing on the afternoon of December 3. The forum was co-sponsored by International Department, Central Committee of C.P.C and Renmin University of China, hosted by Chongyang Institute for Financial Stusies, Renmin University of China (RDCY), and supported by School of International Studies, Renmin University of China (RUC) as well as Journal of Renmin University of China. Guo Yezhou, the Vice Minister of the International Department, Central Committee of C.P.C, and Jin Nuo, the Chairwoman of the University Council of RUC, attended the forum and addressed keynote speeches. 11 leaders of foreign political parties including Renato Casagrande, General Secretary of Brazilian Socialist Party and Adan Chavez, Vice President of United Socialist Party of Venezuela, participated in the seminar. Each of the parties elaborated the global significance of Xi Jinping`s socialism with Chinese characteristics from perspectives of politics, economy, society, ecology, international cooperation and exchanges of civilizations.

Guo Yezhou, the Vice Minister of the International Department, Central Committee of C.P.C, pointed out in his speech that the keynote speech which was delivered by President Xi Jinping at the high-level meeting profoundly expounded the significance of  jointly building a community of shared future for mankind and a better world, as well as the path and the responsibility of political parties. Xi`s speech demonstrated the determination and sincerity of the CPC to make its contribution to world peace, common development of all countries and mutual recognition of civilizations.

Jin Nuo, the Chairwoman of the University Council of RUC, indicated in his address that Xi Jinping thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era profoundly embodies the concept of "seeking happiness for the Chinese people, seeking revival of the Chinese nation, seeking peace and development for mankind," especially that the proposition of "a Community of Shared Future for Mankind" not only has great significance for China but also serves as a reference point for the world.

Li Junru, Former Vice President of  Party School of the Central Committee of the C.P.C, said in his speech that China has quite a lot of experience in development that can be shared with developing countries.

Renato Casagrande, General Secretary of Brazilian Socialist Party, made a speech that the success of the 19th National Congress of CPC not only has great importance to China but also exerts a profound influence on the world. The successful experience of China`s modernization is of great significance to a number of developing countries. 

He Jiankun, Former Executive Vice President of Tsinghua University, made a speech saying that Xi`s thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics highlights the new concept of development, which combines climate change with domestic strategies for sustainable development and strengthens the building of an ecological civilization system to meet people`s growing needs for a better ecological environment.

Wang Wen, Professor and Executive Dean of RDCY, said in his speech that one of the greatest contributions of Xi`s thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics is the contribution to development, peace and security, the experience of which will become a textbook on political, economic, civilizational exchanges and international cooperation worldwide. 

He Yafei, Former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Senior Fellow of RDCY, said that Xi`s thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics contains the concept of global governance and has a wide range of worldwide significance.

Luan Jianzhang, Director of the Research Office, the International Liaison Department of Central Committee of C.P.C, pointed out in his opening and concluding remarks that the most important worldwide significance of Xi`s thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for the new era probably stems from the concept, "Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind", which was repeatedly emphasized by General Secretary Xi Jinping. The original aspiration and mission are to seek happiness for the people, to seek revival for the nation and to seek peace and development for mankind.
