Sino-US cultural exchange think tank launched in Beijing

On the morning of August 25th, hosted by the Renmin University of China (RUC) and organized by the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies of RUC (RDCY), a seminar on Sino-US relations for the next 50 years was held in Beijing, during which RUC Research Center for Sino-US Cultural Exchange was established.


The center is a think tank on Sino-US people-to-people exchange sponsored by the Ministry of Education of China, and operated and managed by the RDCY. It is also another research center run by RDCY, following the Center for Eco-Finance Studies, the first eco-financial think tank project in China, which was set up in 2014, and the Global Governance Research Center in 2017.

Professor Wang Wen, Executive Dean of RDCY, briefed the seminar on the RDCY’s recent report regarding the case study and action guide for American docking of the “Belt and Road”.



 Seminar on Sino-US relations for the next 50 years was held.


Following the opening ceremony, several experts, at the same time the academic committee members of the Sino-US People-to-People Exchange Research Center, including Cui Liru, former president of China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, Huang Ping, director of the European Institute of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Jin Canrong, associate dean of the School of International Relations at RUC, Zha Daojiong, professor of the school of international studies at Peking University, Da Wei, director of Institute of American Studies at China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, Fang Ning, director of the Institute of Political Science at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Huo Jianguo, former president of the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation under the Ministry of Commerce, Huang Renwei, former vice president of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Shi Yinhong, professor of the School of International Relations at RUC, Yang Rui, famous anchor of CCTV, and Diao Daming, associate professor of the School of International Relations at RUC, had in-depth discussions on the trend of Sino-US relations for the next 50 years, as well as the cultural exchange and the future Sino-US relations, offering advice and suggestions for the promotion of the culture exchanges between China and America.
