On August 11th, Launching Ceremony and Seminar on the book Great Power’s Long March Road: The views of China's rejuvenation and the future of the world after hundred countries’ visit (Wang Wen) was held at Remin University of China. Li Zhaoxing, Former Foreign Minister, Hu Xijin, Editor-in-Chief of Global Times, Zhang Yanling, Former Executive Vice President of Bank of China, Chen Wenling, Chief Economist of China Center for International Economic Exchanges, Cui Xiantao, General Manager, Publishing Group of Party School of the Central Committee of C.P.C (National Academy of Governance), Jin Canrong, Deputy Dean of School of International Studies, Renmin University of China, and more than 20 celebrities and 300 guests attended the seminar. Yang Rui, Host of Dialogue with Yang Rui, CGTN, presided over the Book Release and Kytone Speech.

The author shared the visiting experience in nearly 100 countries (including the South Pole) and talked about hundreds of personal stories to warn us that although China is now the second-largest economy in the world, it is still a long march road for China's rejuvenation. The book consists of seven chapters, separately” Long and Profound Changes”, “Sino-US Relations”, “Domestic Governance: Leap the Development Trap”, “Global Governance: China Participation”, “BRI: The Stage of Endurance Running”, “The Rising Road of Major Power” and “Reform and Opening up, New Endurance War”.

In the beginning, the author presented the book's conceptual process and the understanding of the long march of China's rise. We can cite from the book, "The rise of Britain took nearly two centuries, and the United States took more than 100 years. The world hegemony has no attractions to Chinese, but development has. The road of development is also long and tough, which requires time and patience with solid and slow steps. The success we have taken in the past 40 years with the policy Reform and Opening up enlighten us that the psychological construction of 'lasting war' and long march are as important as diligence."

Cui Xiantao, General Manager, Publishing Group of Party School of the Central Committee of C.P.C (National Academy of Governance), delivered a speech.

In the Special Guest Addresses session, Li Zhaoxing, the Former Foreign Minister, used several vivid examples to describe the impression of Great Power’s Long March Road. In his speech, Minister Li Zhaoxing specifically pointed out Sino-US relations that have attracted public attention, expressed confidence in Sino-US relations, and firmly believed that "Justice will win, people will win, peace will win."

Danilo Tulke, Former President of Slovenia, Non-resident Senior Fellow of RDCY, sent a congratulatory video. Danilo Tulke highly evaluated it as “the kit” and “timely rain”. Great Power’s Long March Road has thrown an important topic for scholars to seriously think in China and the world that how to create a common, win-win and co-created future.

In the keynote speech, Hu Xijin, editor-in-chief of Global Times, pointed out that Great Power’s Long March Road reminds everyone that "Great Power" means more challenges and more patience.

Zhang Yanling, Former Executive Vice President of Bank of China, said that the rejuvenation of nation and the achievement of great power are destined with difficulties. Solidarity and endeavor are vital for the realization of the dream. The book Great Power’s Long March Road spans the Chinese history of the five centuries before and after, covering all major powers in the world.

Chen Wenling, Chief Economist of China Center for International Economic Exchanges, said that she particularly appreciates the words " Long March Road ". The image of “Long March Road" portrays the process of "stand up" and "rich up" in modern China, and it is a deep portrayal of "strengthen up". Chen Wenling said that she greatly appreciates the spirit of the author Wang Wen: the spirit of patriotism, the spirit of bravely climbing the peak, the indomitable spirit, and the spirit of deliberate savvy.

Jin Canrong, Deputy Dean of School of International Studies, Renmin University of China, pointed out that as the golden saying "Be well-read and be well-travel", but for Chinese scholars, following it is the first step in the long march., It is even more important to think independently and to keep in mind the world outlook on adhering to China's position. The book Great Power’s Long March Road is based in books and journeys, in an independent mind, and in our nation to embrace the world.
