John Ross noted that the global economic recession since 2007 should be called the global economic stagnation, which caused international political instability. The "Belt and Road" initiative is a new hope for the world to break the economic stagnation. Dr. Danilo Türk agreed with his view, and pointed out G20 and IMF couldn’t lead the world`s economic recovery. He supposed that the "Belt and Road" initiative should promote the international development at present. He also suggested that in the situation of global warming and the rise in sea level, the "Belt and Road" should pay more attention to the water infrastructure construction.

Wang Wen said that the "Belt and Road"  is a more feasible and effective solution for the development of the world owing to the oncentration on the infrastructure construction. He mentioned that in the Trump era, China and EU have great cooperation potential, and both sides need high-level and comprehensive communication and mutual trust. Other experts discussed the Africa industrialization, environmental issues, green finance, economic cooperation between China and Europe and other topics.
