On the morning of August 4 in Argentina, guided by the China Public Diplomacy Association, co-sponsored by Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University of China (RDCY) and the Argentine International Relations Committee, "Sino-Argentina Think Tank Dialogue on Global Governance" was held in Buenos Aires. People from the diplomatic circles, think tanks, industry and high-level business of the two countries, had an important dialogue about the G20 and Sino-Argentina cooperation. It is the first time that China and Argentina have a bilateral think tank dialogue on the G20 issues.

At the sub-forum on "G20 Summit Preparations and Sino-Argentina Cooperation", Wang Wen, the Executive Dean of RDCY, presented the experience as one of the joint coordinating think tanks for  China’s G20 in 2016.

Sino-Argentina Think Tank Dialogue on Global Governance was held in Buenos Aires.

The participants and scholars from Argentina generally thought that the visits of the Chinese public diplomacy and think tank delegation and the  in-depth bilateral dialogue on global governance, marks that China officially launched a process to help Argentina  prepare for the G20 summit. It will play an important role in enhancing the Sino-Argentina relations and making  positive progress for global governance.

It is reported that, in December 2017, Argentina will officially take over the presidency  of 2018 G20 summit from Germany. Then,  many rounds of G20 Sherpa’s conference, governors of central bank and finance ministers meeting, Think Tanks Conference (T20), Business Conference (B20), Women Conference (W20), Youth Conference (Y20), Civil Society Conference (C20), will be held successively. These conferences gather  opinions and suggestions on global governance in various industries around the world, which will be finally submitted to the G20 Leadership Summit that will be held in November 2018.
