Lecturer: Prof. Huang Jing is University Professor of Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU), a PhD tutor, and Dean (academic affairs) of Institute of International and Regional Studies of BLCU. He is also a Richard von Weizsacker Fellow at Bosch Academy of Germany.


Before joining BLCU, Prof. Huang was a Lee Foundation Professor of US-China Relations at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and director of Centre on Asia and Globalization at NUS (2008-2018), a senior fellow at Foreign Policy Program at Brookings Institution (2004-2008). He has taught at Harvard University (1993-1994), Utah State University (tenured, 1994-2004) and Stanford University (2002-2003). Prof. Huang has published 8 English books on Chinese politics, Taiwan, South China Sea, China-India relations, Asian environmental policy and development of Russia’s Far East. He has also published numerous papers, book chapters, journal articles and op-eds at various newspapers and magazines. Prof. Huang also serves as an independent director and adviosor in several Chinese and foreign enterprises and foundations.
