The 23rd China Capital Market Forum held in Beijing

The 23rd China Capital Market Forum 2019 was held in Beijing on January 12, with the theme of “Capital Market and Modern Financial System”. The forum was co-hosted by the Financial and Securities Institute of Renmin University of China (FSI), Guorong Securities Co., Ltd. And Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University of China (RDCY).



Over 500 people attended the forum including heads from government departments, and experts and scholars from universities, research institutions, as well as guests from securities companies, fund companies, listed companies and media.


Liu Wei, President of Renmin University of China, attended the forum and delivered opening remarks. He said that it is of great significance to research the construction law of the financial system for deepening reform and opening up and building a major financial power.


The opening ceremony was presided by Zhuang Yumin, dean of School of Finance at Renmin University of China. Hou Shoufa, Chairman of Guorong Securities Co., Ltd., delivered a speech on behalf of the organizers of the forum.


Fang Xinghai, vice chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission and Ning Jizhe, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission and director of the National Bureau of Statistics of China, delivered keynote speeches. Wu Xiaoqiu, vice president of Renmin University of China, made a thematic report with the theme of "The Road to Modern Financial System: Exploration in China" .


Then, at the sessions of thematic speeches and luncheon speeches, several experts gave their opinions. Two sub-forums was held in the afternoon. The guests discussed the issues on "the formation and development of the modern financial system" and "the status quo and future of the capital market".
