Swedish Embassy delegation visits Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies

Swedish Embassy delegation visits RDCY.

 

On February 16, a delegation including Economic Counselor Maisoun Jabali, and business official Mejfang Br ü ske Wang from Swedish Embassy in China, visits Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University of China (RDCY). Both sides conducted in-depth discussion on Sino-US relations, “Belt and Road” Initiative, Chinese economic reform and other issues.

 

Liu Jianping, Project Manager of Research Cooperation Department of RDCY, introduced the RDCY’s development, research interests, and major achievements, which were highly appreciated by Maisoun Jabali. Both sides hope to enhance communication in the future.


Chen Chenchen, Deputy Director of Macro Research Department of RDCY, exchanges views on specific issues with the guests. She noted that The Trump administration`s foreign policy remains uncertain and needs further observations. She also said that recent telephone conversation between Leaders of China and United States indicates that Trump tends to soften his hard-line stance and Sino-US relations are returning to the traditional pragmatic track.

 

Maisoun Jabali praised highly on the “Belt and Road” Initiative and hope that the Swedish companies will have chances to participate in the construction process. She also express her expectation to attend the “Belt and Road” Summit that will be held in May this year.
